Prophet (s) is Allah's (SWT) Most Beloved Servant!

Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem. Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem. Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem.

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Saying Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem is stronger and more powerful than any technology. Saying Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem pleases Allah (SWT) and makes the Holy Prophet (s) happy. The Prophet (s) is not like us, he is not just a human being, he is a heavenly person. Yes, the Prophet (s) is alive, of course! Allah (SWT) states in the Holy Quran that:

3:169
Sahih International
And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,
Every moment of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (s) was for the love and pleasure of Allah Almighty. Every breath he breathed was for the love of Allah Almighty. Every step, every glance, every movement was for the pleasure of Almighty Allah. He lived for the cause of Allah and passed away from this world for the cause of Allah. But he is alive. Yes, his physically body passed away but his soul is alive and provided for by Allah. He is the perfect example of a Servant of Allah. And Allah (SWT) says in the Quran that those who have been killed in the cause of Allah are not dead, they are receiving provision from their Lord Allah Almighty.

Sayyidatina Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet (s) was the Holy Quran personified. Meaning that his character and personality was just as Allah liked. He is Habib Allah, the Beloved of Allah. Allah Almighty Himself sends His blessings and peace upon Prophet Muhammad (s), and so do His Angels, and Allah Almighty commands us to sends blessings and peace upon the Holy Prophet (s) in the Holy Quran.

33:56
Sahih International
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace.

If we do not send salawat (blessings) on the Prophet (s) we are disobeying Allah. For someone to be called a Muslim they must of course believe in Allah Almighty and the Prophet Muhammad (s). If they believe in Allah, they must obey the Prophet (s), and they must obey what Allah (SWT) says. A Muslim must respect the Prophet (s), and his character. He wore the cloak of humbleness and love to everyone. We must follow that way. Love everyone. Read the following ayah:

3:31
Sahih International
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

There is no clearer example. We must have respect. O Muslims! The reason why we are falling apart as a community, the reason for why Islam is looked upon in a negative way is because we are not respecting the Prophet (s)! We are not respecting his teachings, his personality, his way. We are not loving him. When we go to the mosque and we say "O Muslims! Send blessings upon Sayyidina Muhammad (s) excessively" they say "no, that is bid'ah, that is innovation, that is not in Islam". O Creatures of Allah have you not read the Holy Quran?

When Allah has created uncountable Angels, and is creating Angels every moment from the beginning of time, and each Angel is saying salawat upon the Prophet (s) every moment, and because Allah Almighty is Al-Azim (the Magnificent One) and al-Malik ul Mulk (Owner of The Kingdom) then He has the power to create as much as He likes, how He likes. Every Angel He creates says a salawat different from the other Angels. When one Angel is created, that Angel cannot say the same salwat as another Angel, and when one Angel says a salawat he cannot say that same one again! Each Angel has a different way of saying salawat. They don't say it like us. They have unique ways of saying salawat. Subhan Allah!

Glory be to Allah, Owner of The Kingdom of the Heavens and the Earth and Lord of our Master Muhammad (s). And then we say "don't say salawat excesively", astagfirullah. Say salawat excesively! We can say "Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala alihi Muhammadin wa sallim". O Allah! Send blessings and peace upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad. We can say:

"Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammadini ’s-saabiqi li ’l-khalqihi nooruhu wa rahmatan li ’l-`alameena zhuhooruhu `adada mam-madaa min khalqika wa mam-baqiya wa man sa`ida minhum wa man shaqiya salaatan tastaghriqu ’l-`adda wa tuheetu bi ’l-haddi salaatan laa ghaayata lahaa wa laa muntahaa wa lanqidaa wa tuneelana biha minka ‘r-ridaa salaatan daa’imatan bi-dawaamika baaqiyatan bi-baqaaika.

Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammadini ’Llalladhee mala'ta qalbahu min jalaalika wa `aynahoo min jamaalika fa-asbaha farihan mu’ayyadan mansooran wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallim tasliman wa ‘l-hamdu lillahi `alaa dhaalik."

O Allah! Exalt our master Muhammad, whose light preceded all Creation, whose appearance is mercy to all the worlds, on the number of Your Creations which have passed before and the number of those which remain, those who are fortunate and those who are not, with blessings which exceed all count and which encompass all limits, blessings with no limits, no boundaries, ceaseless, blessings which are eternal, enduring as You endure.

O Allah! Bless our Master Muhammad ﷺ, whose heart is so full with Your Glory, and whose eyes are so full of Your Beauty that he came to be overjoyed, supported and victorious, and bless likewise his Family and Companion and grant him and them abundant peace, and praise be to Allah سبحانه و تعالى for all of that! (in first half of Dala’il al-Khayrat)

For each salawat we say, Allah Almighty Himself blesses us ten times, and Allah's blessings are unimaginable. That's just for one salawat.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani (may Allah bless him) says:

Allah (swt) is showing His Love to humanity, to Ummat an-Nabi (s), which is something that cannot be described, but rather it can only be tasted. He is saying, “Remember Me excessively and let them say, ‘You are crazy!’” Try to make as much dhikrullah as you can, until they call you “crazy,” as the Prophet (s) said:

أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا مَجْنُونٌ
Akthiroo min dhikrillah hatta yaqooloo majnoon.

Remember Allah (swt) so much that people start saying, ‘He has gone mad.’”
(Ahmad, Musnad; Ibn Habban)

Therefore, qul Allah, “Say, ‘Allah!’” as Allah (swt) ordered in the Holy Qur'an:

قُلِ اللّهُ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِي خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
Qul Allah thumma dharhum fee khawdihim yal`aboon.

Say, "Allah," then leave them to play in their vain discussions. (Surat al-Anaam, 6:91)

So when we say “Allah,” it is not bid`a, as some claim, “Don't make dhikr with the Name ‘Allah.’” Allah (swt) said that the Holy Qur’an is dhikru ‘n-naatiq, talking dhikr. He is saying say, “Yaa Muhammad! Tell your ummah to say, ‘Allah,’ as it is a talking dhikr, then leave those who are not doing dhikrullah plunged in their play, as they are the losers!”

So our duty is to say “Allah” until they say we are crazy, which they are already saying! Let them say it even more, because then we will fit the description of the hadith! Can you sit in a Salafi masjid and make a dhikr circle and say "Allah!" No you cannot, they will throw you out! That is why Allah (swt) revealed to His Prophet (s) to say, “Make dhikr until they say you are crazy!” Today they say, “Look at these crazy people!” and alhamdulillah that is what we want, as then we come under the description of the hadith, akthiroo min dhikrillah hatta yaqooloo majnoon. So to be “crazy” is good because the Prophet (s) mentioned it! In another hadith narrated by ibn Hibban and Ibn Majjah, the Prophet (s) said:

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضی الله عنه: عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلي الله عليه وآله وسلم قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ: أَنَا مَعَ عَبْدِي إِذَا هُوَ ذَكَرَنِي وَتَحَرَّكَتْ بِي شَفَتَاهُ.

Allah (swt) says, “I am with My servant when he remembers Me and his lips quiver in My remembrance.” (Ibn Habban, Ahmad, Tabarani)

Allah (swt) is saying, “I am with My Servant when he wants to remember Me, and even before his lips move I am already with him!” So why do people come and say they have problems and difficulties? Make dhikrullah and Allah (swt) will be with you! Doesn't Allah (swt) know what you are facing of burdens and problems? Doesn't He know what problems He is sending to you, only to raise you higher and higher? So make dhikrullah and let them say you are majnoon, as that is what they say, “Look at those people who go to the mosque to sit together and make dhikrullah, they are deviant!” Is that not what they say?

One person came to the Prophet (s) and said, “Yaa Rasoolullah! inna shara`ia al-islaam qad kathurat `alayya, the rules of Islam became heavy on me." Prophet (s) said, “Ija`l lisaanak ratban min dhikrillah, make your tongue wet with dhikrullah." (Tirmidhi)

One `Arabee came to the Prophet (s) and said, qad kathura `alayya sharaa`iah al-Islam, “The rules and conditions of Islam are too much on me, which I cannot handle. I am a Bedouin. Give me something easy that I can do, like milking a cow or goat.” The Prophet (s) said, “Make your tongue moist with dhikrullah.” That means continue making dhikrullah and Allah (swt) will be with you and raise you higher and higher in ascension, and as you ascend from place to place, you will feel a Presence of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes in every ascension.
