Oh Heedless Human Beings! The Grave is Waiting!

  - O mankind, where have your forefathers gone? - This world is the place of tests and difficulties - You make a few dollars, then pass on - You forgot the Day of Promises, Yawma alastu bi-Rabbikum - You run, run, run after fleeting worldly wealth - The first taste of Hereafter is in the grave - Good ones are greeted by kind angels and mercy - Bad ones are dragged to the fire in chains - save yourself by following good spiritual leaders - we all make mistakes - if we repent Allah is the Forgiver.

The Story of Prophet al-Yasa'

Allah (SWT) has mentioned him along with other prophets in soorat al-An'am, saying: "And Isma'eel, and al-Yasa', and Yoonus and Loot, and each of them We preferred above the humankind and jinn." (Qur'an 6: 86) Allah, the Exalted, has further mentioned him in Soorat Sad: "And remember Isma'eel, al-Yasa', and Dhul-Kifl; all are among the best." (Qur'an 38: 48)     Muhammad ibn Is-haq has reported al-Hasan al-Basri as saying: al-Yasa' came after Ilyas. He stayed among his people for as long as Allah willed, inviting them to the way of Allah and following the Sharia revealed to Ilyas (as), until his death. Then, evil actions spread among the people, including transgression. They even killed their prophet.     Ibn Asakir has said that his lineage was al-Yasa' ibn 'Adi ibn Shootlam ibn Afratheem ibn Yoosuf ibn Ya'qoob ibn Is-haq ibn Ibraheem. It has been said that he was the cousin of prophet Ilyas.     It has been mentio

472.  CHAPTER 38. (Saying of the) Tashahhud in the last Rak'a. 472. Narrated 'Abdullâh bin Mas ûd "Whenever we offered Şalát (prayer) behind the Prophet salallhu alaihi was salam we used to recite (in sitting) As-Salám (peace) be on Jibrael (Gabriel), Mikâel (Michael), peace be on so-and-so. Once Allâh's Messenger (s) looked back at us and said, Allâh Himself is As-Salâm (Peace), and if anyone of you prays then he should say, At-tahiyâtu lillâhi wassalawâtu wat-taiyibâtu. As-Salâmu 'alaika aiyuhan-Nabyu wa rahmatul-lâhi barakátuhu. As-Salâmu 'alainâ wa 'ala ibâdilláh işşâlihin (all the compliments, prayers and good things are due to Allâh J; peace be on you, O Prophet and Allâh's Mercy and Blessings be on you. Peace be on us and on the true pious slaves of Allâh). If you say that, it will be for all the slaves in the heaven and the earth. Arabia before Islam: Loyalty

The 'Arabian society was divided into innumerable tribes and clans, all of them having their own Chieftain of Shaikh elected from among the elders, to whom the tribe or clan owed its absolute allegiance and solidarity. This tribal bond of unflinching loyalty to the Chief along with the desert nomadism were the most essential and indispensable features of ancient 'Arab life. The relations among the various clans and tribes were not always cordial. Some of the powerful and prominent tribes were perpetually hostile to one another. As there was no central power to check this tribal antagonism, they frequently fought among themselves. The tribesman did not hesitate to go to any limits in protecting the honor of the tribe to which they owed their allegiance. Long tribal wars were a common phenomenon in those days. The battle of Basus which started over a she-camel between the tribes of Bani Bakr and Bani Taghlib continued for about forty years. This unbreakable bond of tribal solidar

Hadith #1086 Summarized Sahih Al-Bukhari

Narrated (Sâlim): 'Abdullâh bin 'Umar رضي الله عنه said, "I knew that the land was rented for cultivation in the lifetime of Allâh's Messenger صَلّى اللهُ عليهِ واٰله وسلّم". Later on Ibn 'Umar was afraid that the Prophet صَلّى اللهُ عليهِ واٰله وسلّم had forbidden it, and he had no knowledge of it, so he gave up renting his land. Allahumma salli wa sallim wa barik `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad an-Nabiyyi 'l-Umiyy al-Habeebi 'l-`aliyya 'l-qadri 'l-`azheemi 'l-jaahi wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallim. As mentioned by Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani (qs) and many other awliyaullah, from the Sharh Salawat ad-Dardir al-`allamah as-Saawi, reciting this salawat will eliminate claustrophobia and bring ease to you in the grave. It will also remove the fear of the interrogating angels, Munkar and Nakir. It is mentioned that whoever recites this salawat once every Friday, upon his death Prophet  will go with him to his burial and bury him with his own blessed hands! Numerous awliyaullah have said, "Whoever recites it even once on Friday or from Thursday evening onward, Allah  will allow his soul to see the Exemplar of All Souls ," not only when his soul is leaving the body, but also when he is taken to the grave, until he sees the Prophet  is the one taking care of him in that grave.
